This site is pertinent to the membership and programs of the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs of MINNESOTA. Both members or non-members are encouraged to use this site to learn some history of Minnesota Odd Fellowship, expand their knowledge of current programing, or to make announcements for their lodge. New membership requests and referrals can also be handled here.
Odd Fellowship reached Minnesota in 1849 at Stillwater. Lodges soon branched out and spread throughout the state. This site provides many facts and information on the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs of Minnesota. At the bottom of this page is a listing of announcements of current events. On the left is the main menu of topics to select and view. Enjoy the site.
Please contact the Grand Lodge office or send an email to get more information that may not be on-line at this time. With over 150 years of history and tradition to be researched and updated, many things get overlooked.

Fairmont No. 70 to re-open

Farimont No. 70 Independent Order of Odd Fellows will be re-opened on June 16, 2008. Grand Master David Adams will institute the lodge and install the lodge officers on this special occasion. Delegations from Winnebago City No. 30 and Hassan Valley No. 109 will assist with the ceremonies.

Pilgrimage to the Tomb of the Unknowns

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows will particpate in the 75th Pilgrimage to the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery on May 2-4. Grand Master David Adams and his wife Deb, Grand Secretary John Reynolds and Grand Scribe Jeane Reyonods will represent the Minnesota delegation during the parade and wreath laying ceremony on Sunday at the cemetery.
Members of the Minnesota Jurisdiction will participate at Fort Snelling Historic Chapel on Sunday at the 11:00 service to coinside with the national event.

Aitkin Lodge hosts Grand Master

Aitkin No. 184 will have their regular meeting on Monday, April 28 at 3:00 p.m. at the hall in Aitkin. Grand Master David Adams and others are planning to attend with an official visit.

All Degree Day

Hinckley No. 154 will host an All Degree Day on Saturday, April 26. This will be known as the Wildey Class in honor of the founding of the Order on April 26, 1819 by Thomas Wildey.

Executive Board and Grand Master's Reception March 08

The Executive Board will be Saturday, March 08 at the former Odd Fellows hall in Fairmont, Mn, the hometown of Grand Master David Adams. Meetings will start at 9:30 a.m., but the building will open at 9:00. The Grand Master reception and program will be from 2 - 4 p.m.

Installation of Officers in October

Local Units of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodges throughout the Jurisdiction of Minnesota will host Installation of New Officers through out the month of October. Many of the lodges have an open installation ceremony that invites family and friends to attend.

New Unit of the Odd Fellows

A new unit of the Odd Fellows organization will be instituted on Septmeber 27 at 7:00 p.m.. South Lake Minnetonka United Youth Group #1 has filed for a charter. They are sponsored by Minnetonka #102 Odd Fellows.

The Executive Board of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Minnesota will be Saturday, September 8. The meeting will be at Minnetonka #102 Lodge Hall at 252 Water Street in Excelsior at 9:00 a.m. Visual Service committee will follow after at about 11:00 a.m.

The Grand Lodge Executive Board Meeting will be Saturday, October 29 at the Grand Lodge office in St Paul. It starts at 9:00 a.m. Planning meetng with all the leaders of all the branches of the Order will follow at approxiamately 11:00 a.m.
